Periyar National Park (Malayalam: നെയ്യാർ വന്യജീവി സംരക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രം) in theSouth Indian State ofKerala is spread over the southeast corner of theWestern Ghats in theThiruvananthapuram district, and covers a total area of 128 km2 (49.4 sq mi). This is the drainage basin for theNeyyar River and its tributaries - Mullayar and Kallar.
