Deutsch:Murrisk (gälisch:Muraisc) ist ein Ort im irischenCounty Mayo, südlich derClew Bay. Er liegt rund 6 km westlich vonWestport und 2 km ostlich vonLecanvey. Der Ort liegt am Fuße des berühmtesten Pilgerberges Irlands, desCroagh Patrick. Jedes Jahr, am letzten Sonntag im Juli, starten von dort aus rund 25.000Pilger ihre Wanderung auf den Berg.

English:Murrisk is a village inCounty Mayo,Ireland, on the south side ofClew Bay, about 8 km west ofWestport and 4 km east ofLecanvey. Murrisk lies at the foot ofIreland's famous pilgrimage mountain,Croagh Patrick, and is the starting-point for the pilgrimage. Every year, on the last Sunday of July, thousands of people converge on the village to make the pilgrimage. There is a small interpretative centre in the village, which focuses on Croagh Patrick.
