Back in 2021, Hannah’s love of all things nerdy collided with her passion for writing — and she hasn’t stopped since. She covers pop culture news, writes reviews, and conducts interviews on just about every kind of media imaginable. If she’s not talking about something spooky, she’s talking about gaming, and her favorite moments in anything she’s read, watched, or played are always the scariest ones. For Hannah, nothing beats the thrill of discovering what’s lurking in the shadows or waiting around the corner for its chance to go bump in the night. Once described as “strictly for the sickos,” she considers it the highest of compliments.

Try something different:

Prime Video has announced during the first officialHellaverse panel atSan Diego Comic-Con 2025 thatHazbin Hotel will officially return for Season 2 on October 29, just in time for spooky season.Created byVivienne “VivziePop” Medrano, the breakout adult animated musical-comedy has captivated fans with its mix of dazzling animation, Broadway-caliber songs, and a devilishly clever take on redemption in the depths of Hell. The updated logo for Season 2 also heralds a VoxTek takeover, as was teased in the Season 1 finale.

Where Season 1 of 'Hazbin Hotel' Left Off

The first season ofHazbin Hotelfollowed Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen), the idealistic princess of Hell, as she sought to rehabilitate sinners and give them a second chance at salvation through her hotel. By the end of the season, Charlie’s mission faced mounting challenges, not just from Hell’s powerful overlords and her own doubts about whether her dream is achievable, but Heaven itself. Her uneasy alliance with Alastor (Amir Talai), the enigmatic and sadistic Radio Demon, remains fraught with tension, as his true motives for helping the hotel are still unclear, and the looming question of his own contract remains a constant source of fan speculation.

Meanwhile, fan-favorite characters like Angel Dust (Blake Roman), Husk (Keith David), and Niffty (Kimiko Glenn) had their own arcs of growth and heartbreak, with Angel’s struggles against Valentino (Joel Perez) offering one of the season’s most emotional and hard-hitting storylines. The season’s finale also hinted at a larger presence for Lucifer Morningstar in the future, as well as leaving a giant question in the shape of a dead angel. With Adam meeting a bloody end at the hands of Niffty, will he return in Season 2 as a sinner to answer for the many sins he displayed in Season 1?

New Cast Joining the Mayhem for Season 2, Including Fall Out Boy Frontman

Alongside the Season 2 release date, Prime Video also dropped an exciting casting announcement. Even if Adam himself doesn’t return for the second season, fans can look forward to getting to know his son, Abel, who finds his “heavenly voice” in Fall Out Boy frontmanPatrick Stump. A teaser video was shared with the announcement, giving fans a sneak peek of Stump’s work on the series, in which some of the character’s lines are featured in behind-the-scenes glimpses. With such a monumental voice behind Abel, it’s suggested that Abel’s character will play a pivotal role in exploring the celestial hierarchies as Heaven takes more of center stage in Season 2, as well as the consistent themes of redemption. Additional voice cast confirmed for Season 2 includes Kevin Del Aguila as “Baxter,” Alex Newell as “Zeezi,” Liz Callaway as “The Speaker of God,” and Andrew Durand as “Prick."

The countdown to October 29 andHazbin Hotel's Season 2 premiere is officially on.
