Required Roles

To get the permissions that you need to delete an instance, ask your administrator to grant you theSecure Source Manager Instance Manager (roles/securesourcemanager.instanceManager) IAM role on the Secure Source Manager instance. For more information about granting roles, seeManage access to projects, folders, and organizations.

You might also be able to get the required permissions throughcustom roles or otherpredefined roles.

Delete an instance

1. To delete your Secure Source Manager instance and all associated data, run thefollowing command:

   gcloudsource-managerinstancesdeleteINSTANCE_NAME\--region=REGION

   Replace the following:

   • INSTANCE_NAME with the name of the instance you want to delete.
   • REGION with the location of your instance. For information onsupported locations, seeLocations.

2. Check the status of the operation with the following command:

   gcloudsource-manageroperationsdescribeprojects/PROJECT_ID/locations/REGION/operations/OPERATION_ID

   WhereOPERATION_ID is the value ofname: in theresponse from thedelete command.
