gcloud compute machine-images set-iam-policy - set the IAM policy for a Compute Engine machine image
SYNOPSIS
gcloud compute machine-images set-iam-policyMACHINE_IMAGEPOLICY_FILE[GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG]
DESCRIPTION
Sets the IAM policy for the given machine image as defined in a JSON or YAMLfile.
EXAMPLES
The following command reads an IAM policy defined in apolicy.jsonfile
andsetsthepolicyforthemachineimage`my-image`:
gcloudcomputemachine-imagesset-iam-policymy-imagepolicy.json

POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Machine image resource - The machine image to set the IAM policy for. Thisrepresents a Cloud resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments inthis group but can be set in other ways.

To set theproject attribute:

  • provide the argumentmachine_image on the command line with a fullyspecified name;
  • provide the argument--project on the command line;
  • set the propertycore/project.

This must be specified.

MACHINE_IMAGE
ID of the machine image or fully qualified identifier for the machine image.

To set themachine_image attribute:

  • provide the argumentmachine_image on the command line.
POLICY_FILE
Path to a local JSON or YAML formatted file containing a valid policy.

The output of theget-iam-policy command is a valid file, as is anyJSON or YAML file conforming to the structure of aPolicy.

GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands:--access-token-file,--account,--billing-project,--configuration,--flags-file,--flatten,--format,--help,--impersonate-service-account,--log-http,--project,--quiet,--trace-token,--user-output-enabled,--verbosity.
