SYNOPSIS
gcloud beta compute instance-templates set-iam-policyINSTANCE_TEMPLATEPOLICY_FILE[GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG …]
DESCRIPTION
(BETA) Sets the IAM policy for the given instance template asdefined in a JSON or YAML file.
EXAMPLES
The following command will read am IAM policy defined in a JSON file'policy.json' and set it for the instance templatemy-template:
gcloudbetacomputeinstance-templatesset-iam-policymy-templatepolicy.json

POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Instance template resource - The instance template to set the IAM policy for.This represents a Cloud resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given argumentsin this group but can be set in other ways.

To set theproject attribute:

  • provide the argumentinstance_template on the command line with afully specified name;
  • provide the argument--project on the command line;
  • set the propertycore/project.

This must be specified.

INSTANCE_TEMPLATE
ID of the instance_template or fully qualified identifier for theinstance_template.

To set theinstance_template attribute:

  • provide the argumentinstance_template on the command line.
POLICY_FILE
Path to a local JSON or YAML formatted file containing a valid policy.

The output of theget-iam-policy command is a valid file, as is anyJSON or YAML file conforming to the structure of aPolicy.

GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands:--access-token-file,--account,--billing-project,--configuration,--flags-file,--flatten,--format,--help,--impersonate-service-account,--log-http,--project,--quiet,--trace-token,--user-output-enabled,--verbosity.
