- DESCRIPTION
(ALPHA)gcloud alpha compute networks subnetsexpand-ip-rangeexpands the IP range of a VPC subnetwork.For more information about expanding a subnet, seeExpanding aprimary IP range.
This command doesn't work for secondary subnets or for subnets that are usedexclusively for load balancer proxies. For more information, seeProxy-onlysubnets for load balancers.

NAME- Name of the subnetwork to operate on.
- REQUIRED FLAGS
--prefix-length=PREFIX_LENGTH- The new prefix length of the subnet. It must be smaller than the original and inthe private address space 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12 or 192.168.0.0/16 defined inRFC 1918.
- OPTIONAL FLAGS
--region=REGION- Region of the subnetwork to operate on. If not specified, you might be promptedto select a region (interactive mode only).
To avoid prompting when this flag is omitted, you can set the
property:compute/regiongcloudconfigsetcompute/regionREGIONA list of regions can be fetched by running:
gcloudcomputeregionslistTo unset the property, run:
gcloudconfigunsetcompute/regionAlternatively, the region can be stored in the environment variable
