AlloyDB locations

When youcreate an AlloyDBcluster, you must choose alocation where thecluster's instances will be created. You cannot change the location after youcreate the cluster.

In AlloyDB, you choose the location by specifying a Google Cloudregion.AlloyDB automatically creates resources inzones ofthat region as needed.

To reduce latency and increase availability, store your data close to the usersand services that need it. For example, if you frequently write data toAlloyDB from a Cloud Storage bucket in theus-central1(Iowa) region, create your AlloyDB cluster in theus-central1region.

The following sections list the regions that AlloyDB is availablein.
