TheChacruna Chronicles are a collection of original articles from reputable researchers, scholars, ethnographers, indigenous practitioners, and other thought leaders in the psychedelic and plant medicine communities, presented in an accessible, easy-to-share format. We are dedicated to producing current, relevant and fact-based content that explores a variety of social, political, cultural, and scientific topics and highlights critical issues that are generally outside the psychedelic mainstream, such as diversity, access, cultural appropriation, conservation, regulation and commodification. We are deeply committed to promoting a diversity of voices in our articles, in particular highlighting women, Indigenous people, people of color, and LGBTQI people in the community. We also curate special article series focused on topics like inclusion and diversity, sex, power and psychedelics, thehistory of women and psychedelicsand music and psychedelics, among others.

Due to our limited funds, Chacruna is unable to offer financial compensation for every article we publish. However, we do offer compensation to certain authors, with priority given to low-income authors, BIPOC, women, LGBTQI folks, people from the global South, and to students. If you would like to request compensation for your article, please write to us and let us know.
