TheXY Trainer Kit is a specialHalf DeckTrainer Kit for thePokémon Trading Card Game and features the PokémonSylveon andNoivern. It was released on March 12, 2014. In thePokémon Trading Card Game Online's Trainer Challenge, the twoHalf Decks are combined into aTheme Deck calledMindbind, obtainable by redeeming the code from this kit.

For the first time since the EX Series, the featured cards included in theTrainer Kit are not reprints from main expansions and are instead exclusive to the Trainer Kit. None of the cards haveRarity symbols and they each feature a collection number and set symbol exclusive to the kit.

In addition to theHalf Decks, the XY Trainer Kit also includes a deck box, a rulebook,damage counters,status counters, acustom coin featuring theKalos first partner Pokémon, andplaymat. The kit also includes a Trainer Kit Guide, which takes players through an example battle. There is one guide for each of the Half Decks included. Unlike previous Trainer Kits, this product does not include aBooster pack.
