With Beauty and Grace (Japanese:目指せ大人のお姉さんAim to Be a Mature Lady) was asolo event inPokémon Masters EX. It was focused onsync pairs with the Pigtails and Grown Womantheme skills.

During this event, players could earn event vouchers from battles which could be redeemed in theshop. Obtaining 3,000 vouchers would unlock the story areaGrown-Up Advice. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.

The player could battle using Shauna & Chesnaught to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Melony & Lapras or Glacia & Glalie to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and any other sync pair with the Pigtails or Grown Woman theme skill to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.

All sync pairs with the Pigtails or Grown Woman theme skill received a bonus to their Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk and Sp. Defstats when used for this event, with the amount of the bonus varying between areas.

First run

The event first ran from January 16 to 31, 2023. The "Shauna Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Shauna & Chesnaught from the beginning of the event to February 6, 2023. In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was Event Voucher T.

Second run

The event reran from July 9 to 23, 2024. In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was Event Voucher N, and the amount of vouchers obtained as completion and battle rewards for most battles were changed.

Plot

InCentra City,Shauna watches from a distance asDiantha,Lusamine, andKahili are chatting together. She wishes to become a cool grown-up like them, andFlannery says that she wants to become independent, too. Shauna is shocked because Flannery is aGym Leader, and Flannery explains that she doesn't feel as composed and mature as other grown-ups. Shauna has the idea that they can study together and learn to become cool grown-ups, so the two askCandice,Whitney, andRoxanne whether they know any cool grown-ups. Candice has some people in mind, but she says they'll need a lot of courage to learn from them. Shauna and Flannery accept, so Candice leads them to the glaciers to meet withGlacia,Lorelei, andMelony. The women warn Shauna and Flannery that their lessons will be difficult, but Shauna and Flannery are determined to learn, so the training begins.

After training with theIce-typespecialists for a while, Whitney brings Shauna and Flannery to meetKaren,Lucy, andPlumeria, saying that cool grown-ups go for "dark and edgy". Karen says she likes that they're studying to become grown-ups, Lucy says she doesn't like chattering, and Plumeria advises them to get stronger so they don't lose to anyone. Then, Roxanne takes Shauna and Flannery to learn fromCheryl about living in the forest. Cheryl teaches them about medicinal plants and asks the duo to look for them, but neither Flannery nor Shauna is able to find the correct plant. As the day comes to a close, Shauna and Flannery are tired from learning about being grown-ups, andHapu approaches them to give them some advice: they don't need to rush trying to grow up, because they'll mature over time by just living their lives to the fullest. However, Flannery and Shauna completely miss her point, and they beg her to teach them about life.
