TheWater type (Japanese:(みず)Water) is one of the elevenTCG types. It is represented by the color blue, and symbolized by a water droplet.

The Water type contains mostWater- andIce-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example,Blastoise,Articuno, andPiloswine are all Water types in the TCG.

The correspondingBasic Energy card isBasic Water Energy. Where theWater symbol appears in an attackcost, it indicates that a Water Energy must be attached to the Pokémon in order for the Pokémon to use that attack.

Pokémon Trading Card Game series

InPokémon Trading Card Game, there are31 Water-type Pokémon cards. InPokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, there are63 Water-type Pokémon cards.

TheWater Energy card is available in both games. Additionally, in the second game only, theRainbow Energy provides any kind of basic Energy (including Water Energy).
