- Wallace's appearance in theChampion Stadium is a reference to him replacingSteven as theHoenn LeagueChampion inPokémon Emerald.
- All versions of Wallace use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers includeSteven,Lisia, andSiebold.
- During theRising New Year's Resolutionsstory event, Wallace reveals that he met Blacephalon as it emerged from anUltra Wormhole onPasio, bonded with it over their shared interest in performing, and took it under his care when the wormhole closed and left it unable to return home.
Origin
Wallace's design is based on his appearance inPokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Milotic is Wallace's signature Pokémon in thecore series games. Milotic'sDex entry comes fromPokémon Ultra Sun.
Wallace is not seen owning a Blacephalon outside this game, though Blacephalon's design resemblesfireworks, a common form of celebration for New Year's. Blacephalon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
