This site is succumbing to Pokémon intentionally changing perfectly good terms for the sake of changing them. "First partner" sounds no better than "Starter". There is no reason to do so. Don't give in to Pokémon's bizarre fixation on fiddling with what isn't broken. I don't understand the reason for it. I guess "anime" isn't an acceptable word here anymore?
