Thick Fat (Japanese:あついしぼうThick Fat) is anAbility introduced inGeneration III.
Effect
In battle
If a Pokémon with Thick Fat is attacked by anIce- orFire-type move, the opponent'sAttack orSpecial Attack is reduced by 50% during damage calculation, effectively halving the damage the Pokémon takes.
Outside of battle
Thick Fat has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon UNITE
InPokémon UNITE, Thick Fat isMamoswine's Ability. When the user deals damage, its Defense and Special Defense are increased for a short time, up to three times. When this Pokémon usesIce Shard,Icicle Crash orIce Fang, its next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. In addition, if any of these moves creates a freezing area of effect inside an ally goal zone, it decreases the goal-scoring speed of opposing Pokémon inside that goal zone.
