Terastal Fest ex (Japanese:ハイクラスパック テラスタルフェスexHigh Class Pack: Terastal Fest ex) is the name given to the eighth Japanese subset released during thePokémon Trading Card Game's Scarlet & Violet Era. This subset focuses on TeraPokémon ex, including new Tera Pokémon ex cards based on theEeveelutions.
TheTerastal Fest ex subset largely contains reprints of various notable Pokémon and Trainer cards released in 2023 and 2024, including reprints ofPokémon ex andACE SPEC cards. This set also debutsEevee and theEeveelutions as Tera Pokémon ex, and introduces a new Mirror Holofoil Poké Ball pattern that can appear on certain cards. Like in thePokémon Card 151 subset, the Mirror Holofoil Poké Ball pattern has a chance to be aMaster Ball pattern instead.
Terastal Fest ex was released inJapan on December 6, 2024, followed by localized releases inTaiwan andHong Kong on December 20, 2024, inSouth Korea on January 22, 2025, inIndonesia on January 31, 2025, and inThailand on February 7, 2025. Each booster pack of Terastal Fest ex contains 10 cards, one of which is guaranteed to be aPokémon ex. Each booster box contains 10booster packs. Cards other than Pokémon ex and ACE SPEC cards do not have rarity symbols. Cards within this set are included in the EnglishPrismatic Evolutions special expansion.
Like other special subsets such asPokémon Card 151 andVSTAR Universe, Terastal Fest ex booster packs have a chance of having multiple secret rare cards; such packs are colloquially referred to as "god packs". One particular type of god pack from Terastal Fest ex contains all ninespecial illustration rare prints of Eevee and the Eeveelutions, and one non-Holofoil card.
A sneak peek of the Terastal Fest ex subset was shown in the "OPEN UP" promotional video released on October 20, 2024 (the 28th anniversary of thePokémon Trading Card Game), showcasing the booster pack artwork and the Eevee card from the set.[1]
The cards Max Rod and Earthen Vessel are out of order in the card list, which typically follows the Japanesegojūon alphabetical order. The kana た / だta/da is ordered before つtsu, but on the set list, Max Rod (つりざおMAXTsurizao MAX; lit. "Fishing Rod MAX") is numbered 142 while Earthen Vessel (大地の器Daichi no Utsuwa) is numbered 143.
