Pokémon world locations

TheTeam Magma Hideout (Japanese:マグマアジトTeam Magma Hideout), calledMagma Hideout in theGeneration III games, isTeam Magma's base of operations in theHoennregion, located on a small island cave on the outskirts ofLilycove City.

InPokémon Sapphire,Emerald andAlpha Sapphire, it is replaced by theTeam Aqua Hideout instead. The base is essentially the same, though there is more water, all Magma members are replaced by Aqua members, andTabithaR/CourtneyOR is replaced byMatt.

InPokémon Emerald, theTeam Magma Hideout is instead located insideMt. Chimney, with the entrance on theJagged Pass.

In the games

Geography

It is located in the same place as theTeam Aqua Hideout and has the same features. It is located just east ofLilycove City, in an area only accessible afterTeam Magma has stolen the submarine inSlateport City.

On the inside, theplayer will find teleport platforms scattered about. There are also a number ofGrunts to take on, including the team's adminTabithaR orCourtneyOR who will tell the player thatMaxie, the leader ofTeam Magma, has left with the submarine to the watery depths nearSootopolis City.

After finishing everything in the Hideout, the player is free to move ontoRoute 124 which was previously blocked by aGrunt trying to train hisWailmer. Route 124 connects toMossdeep City.

In Ruby, after defeating Tate and Liza, the entrance to the hideout is sealed, meaning the player canno longer collect any items or battle any trainers inside. This is no longer true in Omega Ruby.

Delta Episode

During theDelta Episode, afterZinnia has destroyed the dimensional shifter controller at theMossdeep Space Center, she storms the hideout, defeatingTeam Magma Grunts on her way toMaxie to steal hisKey Stone. In Maxie's room, when the player arrives Zinnia has just defeated Maxie, and taken his Key Stone. After she announces her plans to head to theSky Pillar to awakenRayquaza and leaves, Maxie hasTabitha give the player hisCameruptite.

After receiving the Cameruptite from Tabitha, the player receives an Entry Call on theirPokéNav Plus fromSteven, who requests that the player meet him at theMossdeep Space Center.
