e-Reader data

TheExpedition Base Set print includes a Dot Code strip for use with thee-Reader, and has the card ID B-52-#. The short strip contains a brief card summary. There is no long strip for this card.

Release information

This card was first printed in the Japanese-exclusiveIntro Pack with artwork byKeiji Kinebuchi. The card became available in English in theNeo Genesis expansion, first released in theGold, Silver, to a New World... expansion in Japan. It was subsequently reprinted in thePokémon VS expansion, with an English version being included in theTyranitar Half Deck. The beginning of the e-Card Series saw this card reprinted in theExpedition Base Set, having been previously released in the JapaneseBase Expansion Pack. It was reprinted twice during the EX Series: in theEX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion, originating from the JapaneseVenusaur/Charizard/Blastoise Random Constructed Starter Decks; and inEX Delta Species expansion, having been previously released in theHolon Research Tower Lightning Quarter Deck in Japan. It received new artwork done byShizurow in theDiamond & Pearl expansion, first released in the Empoleon Half Deck of theEntry Pack. This version saw two reprints in Japan, in the Torterra Half Deck of theEntry Pack '08 and the Dialga Half Deck of theGiratina vs Dialga Deck Kit, the latter of which prompted a reprint in the EnglishMajestic Dawn expansion.

Super Scoop Up was later reclassified in Japan as anItem card during the LEGEND Era, though the English prints did not adopt this naming convention until the release ofBlack & White. The print included in theUnleashed expansion featured new artwork byNoriko Hotta and originated from the Leafeon Deck of the JapaneseLeafeon vs Metagross Expert Deck. This card, now reclassified as an Item card in English, was released again in theBlack & White expansion with new artwork byDaisuke Iwamoto, first released in theBeginning Set in Japan. It was later reprinted inBeginning Set + andBeginning Set Pikachu Version rereleases of the original Black & White Beginning Set.

XY Series

Super Scoop Up was again reprinted in theFurious Fists expansion with new artwork by5ban Graphics, previously released as one of several JapaneseXY-P Promotional cards that became available in a number of different card boxes. These included: theXerneas & Yveltal Card Box, released on December 13, 2013; thePrimal Groudon & Primal Kyogre Card Box, released on December 13, 2014; and theMega Mewtwo X & Mega Mewtwo Y Card Box, released on September 26, 2015.

Sun & Moon Series

Super Scoop Up was reprinted as both a Regular card and aFull ArtSecret card in theBurning Shadows expansion, first released in the JapaneseDarkness that Consumes Light expansion. Both prints feature artwork byToyste Beach. The Regular print was later included in the EnglishShining Legends expansion and the JapaneseShining Legends subset. This print was then reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil in the JapaneseUltra Force subset. The reprint included in theCelestial Storm expansion, its inclusion derived from the JapaneseChampion Road subset, featured the original artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. The Burning Shadows Regular print was reprinted again in the JapaneseThunderclap Spark subset.

Scarlet & Violet Series

This card was reprinted in Holofoil with itsBurning Shadows regular artwork in the Charizard & Ho-Oh ex deck of thePokémon Trading Card Game Classic. This print lacks a regulation mark and is thus not legal for tournament play.
