Secret Wonders is the name given to the third main expansion of theDiamond & Pearl Series of thePokémon Trading Card Game. In Japan, it was released asShining Darkness, the third expansion in the Pokémon Card Game DP Era. It is based onPokémon Diamond and Pearl, featuringGeneration IV Pokémon. The English expansion was released on November 7, 2007, while the Japanese expansion was released on July 5, 2007.
Shining Darkness revolved aroundDialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai, the tenthPokémon movie which premiered on July 14, 2007, a week after the release of the expansion.
The pack artworks for Secret Wonders were illustrated byMitsuhiro Arita. The Secret Wonders logo was designed byEric Medalle.[1]

The Shining Darkness set is released exclusively in Japanese, in both1st Edition and Unlimited Edition. The Secret Wonders set is released in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Cards in the English, German, French, and Italian sets were also available inReverse Holofoil. The Spanish and Portuguese versions of this set lacked any Reverse Holofoil cards.
