- In one of herPokémon Center conversations, Shauntal says that she met herChandelure when she was a child, and it was still aLitwick.
- In hersync pair story, Shauntal says that she's planning to write a novel set inPasio.
- All versions of Shauntal use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers includeCaitlin andLucian.

Origin
Shauntal's design is based on her appearance inBlack, White,Black 2, and White 2. Chandelure is Shauntal's signature Pokémon in thecore series games. Chandelure'sDex entry comes from Pokémon White.
Shauntal's Fall 2024 costume was likely inspired byyuki-onna, a yōkai who may also be the basis for Froslass. Shauntal uses Froslass during herrematch with theplayer in Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Froslass's Dex entry comes fromPokémon Ultra Sun.
