TheScizorite (Japanese:ハッサムナイトHassamnite) is a type ofheld item introduced inGeneration VI. It is theMega Stone that allowsScizor toMega Evolve into Mega Scizor.

In battle
If held by aScizor, the Scizorite allows it toMega Evolve into Mega Scizor if itsTrainer has aKey Stone. A Trainer can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon per battle (or only have one Mega-Evolved Pokémon at any given momentZA).
As aMega Stone, it is unaffected by item-negating effects (such asEmbargo andKlutz). Item-manipulating effects (such asTrick andFling) cannot give or remove a Scizorite from Scizor.
Outside of battle
If held by a Scizor, the Scizorite allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Scizor when it performs aSpectacular Talent during aPokémon Contest Spectacular if its Trainer has a Key Stone. Scizor will remain a Mega Scizor until theTalent Round ends.
