Sawyer (Japanese:ドリバルDrival) is a character introduced inPokémon Masters EX. He forms async pair withHonchkrow. The sync pair can be obtained through the limitedsync pair scout, and was first available on July 30, 2021. The pair's potential can be upgraded to6★ EX from September 19, 2024, which unlocks Sawyer's EX style.

Sawyer also forms a sync pair withChest FormGimmighoul. This pair can be obtained through a variety sync pair scout beginning on September 17, 2024. This pair can be raised to6★ EX since it first released, though this pair lacks an EX style.

Sawyer, along withRachel, is one ofLear's subordinates.

In hissync pair story, Sawyer reveals that he was appointed as Lear's personal bodyguard by the queen of an unknown country, Lear's mother. When it was still aMurkrow, Sawyer'sHonchkrow snuck into the royal treasure room and scratched some of the queen's jewels. Despite popular demand for his Murkrow to be punished, the queen did not do so, which saved its life. In return, his Murkrow took a liking to the queen and guarded her family as well as the kingdom. When she died, Sawyer was shocked and upset, but has since vowed to be more vigilant towards Lear in her honor.
