Roseanne (Japanese:ハマナHamana) is a minor supporting character inPokémon Diamond, Pearl,Platinum,Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl. She is one ofProfessor Rowan's assistants.

LikeFelicity, she is not named inPokémon Diamond and Pearl. The name "Roseanne" was first revealed on theTCG cardRoseanne's Research, and later used inPokémon Platinum.

Roseanne is found in Professor Rowan's lab inSandgem Town.

History

Diamond & Pearl arc

Roseanne first appeared inWell Met, Weepinbell, watching over Professor Rowan's laboratory while he and Mr. Berlitz were away. After getting frustrated from being unable to find a missing document, Roseanne went outside to calm herself down. As she exited the building, Roseanne found a swarm ofYanmega waiting outside.

The Yanmega begun rushing inside the building while Roseanne fled due to her fear ofBug-type Pokémon. Due to the sound caused by the flapping of the Yanmega's wings, Roseanne's voice was drowned out, preventing her from calling for help. She used the laboratory's lights to send a message for help, which alertedDiamond andSebastian to come to her aid. With the help of hisLickilicky,Kit, Dia captured and destroyed a device that was sending commands to the Yanmega. With no one to command them, the Yanmega dispersed.

Platinum arc

She makes a cameo at the end of this chapter, inAlternate Dimension Showdown XI.

X & Y arc

Roseanne appeared with Rowan as he informedProfessor Oak that he discovered thatXerneas andYveltal had appeared in theKalos region.

Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon arc

Roseanne was seen in a flashback inHomecoming and the Brilliant Professional Golfer, givingMr. Berlitz aRotom meant to be delivered toProfessor Kukui. She also appeared inFaba's flashback inTyrant!! The Fiendish Man!.

Professor Kukui requested to receive aRotom from aregion outside of Alola so that he may use it to fuse with one of his Pokédexes. Roseanne eventually found one that would work but due to this particular Rotom having a weak body, it was unable to be transferred electronically.Moon was given the task of delivering Rotom to Professor Kukui while also using her pharmaceutical skills to keep it healthy along the way.
