Trivia
- Rosa is based on theplayer character ofPokémon Black 2 and White 2, as hermom worked at aPokémon Center, and she is from the same hometown asHugh.
- Rosa is the only female protagonist-based Trainer inPokémon Masters EX who wears her debuting outfit without carrying her accompanyingbag or similar accessory.
- When Rosa (Holiday 2019) & Delibird were released, there were two known bugs involving the pair. When Auto Mode was on while Rosa (Holiday 2019) & Delibird were on the team, the move gauge would fill faster than intended. Additionally, when using their All the Presents! move in co-op, the move gauge acceleration effect would not always be applied to the allied field of play. These issues were resolved in version 1.6.0, and all players received 50 non-paidGems as compensation.[5]
- As revealed in theTrainer Lodge, Rosa wants to become a famous actress atPokéstar Studios.
- All versions of Rosa use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers includeHilbert,Hilda,Cheren,Bianca,Nate,Hugh,Alder,N,Colress,Brycen-Man, andBellelba.
- Rosa (Champion) & Meloetta were the first sync pair to have a SprintEX role.
- During the eventA Touching Sepia-Toned Song, Rosa reveals that her Meloetta learned how to useRelic Song atCafé Sonata, like how the move is learned in the Unova-based core series games.
- Rosa (Academy) andDeerling were the first sync pair to be obtained from anacademy event.
- Rosa (Academy) is currently the only available main Sync Pair completely absent from the Sync Pairs Episodes.
- Initially, Rosa (Academy) & Deerling's sync grid tile "Sunny Day: Afflicter's Fervor 1" was instead "Sunny Day: Initial Propulsion 1". However, this conflicted with "X Speed: Initial Propulsion 1", and only one of the skills would activate. This was fixed on April 8, 2025.
- Rosa is one of two characters where the player could have multiple identical sync pairs on their team, as her Deerling have identical movesets. The other isScottie/Bettie & Alcremie.
Origin
Rosa's design is based on her appearance inPokémon Black 2 and White 2. Snivy is one of thefirst partner Pokémon ofUnova in thecore series games. As the player's partner inBattle Subway, Servine is Rosa's signature Pokémon if the player choosesTepig as their first partner Pokémon in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. In addition, Rosa is depicted with a Serperior in thePokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 Animated Trailer. Snivy and Serperior's Dex entries come from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, and Servine'sDex entry comes fromPokémon Black.
Dewott is the evolved form ofOshawott, one of the first partner Pokémon of Unova in the core series games. As the player's partner in Battle Subway, Dewott is Rosa's signature Pokémon if the player chooses Snivy as their first partner Pokémon in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Dewott's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
Rosa is not seen owning a Delibird outside this game. Delibird's Dex entry comes fromPokémon Ultra Sun.
Rosa is not seen owning a Shaymin outside this game. Shaymin's Dex entry comes fromPokémon Pearl.
Meloetta is an event-exclusiveMythical Pokémon that was introduced inGeneration V, just like Rosa was. Meloetta's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
Rosa's Deerling may be a reference to the Deerling the player can obtain as agift Pokémon onRoute 6 in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. It being in its Spring Form may be a reference to the fact that theacademic year in Japan begins in the spring. Deerling's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
