Pokémon Sleep
Unlike in the core series games, inPokémon Sleep, each Pokémon can only have one type, which determines the kind ofBerry that the Pokémon will gather forSnorlax to feed on. Rock-type Pokémon will gatherSitrus Berries, and typically have the Slumberingsleep type.
The following is a list of Rock-type Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep.

In the TCG
- Main article:Fighting (TCG)
Due to the decreased amount of types in the TCG, Rock-type Pokémon are generally listed asFighting-type Pokémon.
Fighting-type Pokémon in the TCG are generally weak toGrass,Water orPsychic with no resistances. Fighting-type Pokémon are strong against mostDarkness andLightning Pokémon and someColorless Pokémon, whilst some Colorless and Psychic Pokémon can resist the Fighting type.
Trivia
- Generation III introduced the most Rock-type Pokémon of any generation, with twelve.Generation VII introduced the fewest Rock-type Pokémon, with six (countingSilvally holding theRock Memory).
- Generation IV introduced the most Rock-type moves of any generation, with six, whileGeneration VI introduced the fewest Rock-type moves, with onlyone.
- Rock is tied with theIce-type for having the fewestMega Evolutions, with five each. However, it has more Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution than Ice, asAggron loses its Rock typing upon Mega Evolving.
- In the first season of theanimated series and during much ofGeneration I, the Rock-type was often wrongly assumed to be unaffected byElectric-type attacks. This was likely due to the fact that at the time, most Rock-type Pokémon (namely theGeodude andRhyhorn evolutionary lines, andOnix) were part Ground-type and thus immune to Electric-type moves. However, the only non-Ground Rock-type Pokémon around at the time (the then fiveFossil Pokémon) were actually weak to them.
- On multiple occasions in the animated series, like inShowdown in Pewter City,Sick Daze andRight On, Rhydon!,Ground and Rock-type Pokémon are said to have a strong aversion to water and generally being wet.Rhydon is often presented as an exception to this rule due to its ability to use the moveSurf.
- The Rock type is tied with theGrass type for the largest number of weaknesses when unpaired, with five. However, a Rock/Grass type Pokémon only has four weaknesses.
- MostFossil Pokémon are either part or solely Rock-type. This is most likely due to the placement of real fossils in rock formations, as well as the process by which fossils are created.
- Johto'sOlivine Gym was a Rock-type Gym before theSteel type was discovered.
- This makesUnova the only region with Gyms not known to have ever had a Rock-type Gym.
- The Rock-type has the fewestspecial moves of all types, with three.
- Despite being introduced inGeneration I, there were no pure Rock-type Pokémon untilGeneration II, with onlySudowoodo.
- The Rock type has been paired up with every other type except forGhost andNormal.
- This makes Rock the only type to not have been paired up with Ghost.
- Rock is the only type not represented by aGym Leader, anElite Four member, or aTeam Star Boss inPokémon Scarlet and Violet.
- However,Tyme is stated to be a former Rock-type Gym Leader. Moreover,Top ChampionGeeta's ace PokémonGlimmora is andTerastallizes into the Rock-type, like the aces of the other types' specialists.
- Considering onlyPokémon Leagues with a fixedGym Leader order, more Leagues begin with a Rock-type Gym Leader than any other type, with three (Kanto,Hoenn andSinnoh).
- Including every Pokémon League, it is tied with theGrass type for this distinction (UnovaBW,Galar andPaldea*).
