Roar of Time (Japanese:ときのほうこうRoar of Time) is a damage-dealingDragon-typemove introduced inGeneration IV. It is thesignature move ofDialga.

Effect

Generation IV to VII

Roar of Time inflicts damage and then forces the user torecharge during the next turn. Unless the move fails due to missing, type immunity, or is blocked by aprotection move, the user will always have to recharge the next turn.

Generation VIII onwards

In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 ofPokémon Sword and Shield, Roar of Time could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Roar of Time's base power has been lowered to 120. Instead of forcing the user to recharge, it lowers the user'saction speed. If used by Origin Forme Dialga, Roar of Time's animation, base power, and accuracy are changed.

ItsAdventure Effect outside of battle, by using Dialga candy and Stardust, it can pause the timers of Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Star Piece and Lucky Eggs, thus extending their duration. It costs 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy, and lasts 6 minutes.
