Purity Forest (Japanese:清 らかな森 Pure Forest ) is adungeon inPokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team andPokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX that contains 99 floors. It is home toCelebi .
This dungeon is automatically unlocked after clearingPitfall Valley and obtaining theSky Blue Plains rescue team camp from an optional mission.
Purity Forest is generally regarded as the hardest dungeon in the game, mainly as success depends on luck of the items that appear. Issue #21 of thePokémon News calls it the "ultimate dungeon".
Gameplay Only one team member can be brought into Purity Forest. Upon entry, the team leader will be reduced to level 1R B RT DX items orPoké carried before entering will be permanently lostR B RT DX
Upon reaching 99FR B RT DX Celebi will join the rescue team automatically without a battle.
Generation III In the original games,IQ will be reset to the initial skills until the player exits the dungeon. Pokémon encountered here cannot berecruited . Additionally, spawned items have a 5% chance to be sticky. Heavy darkness shrouds all floors, limiting field of view to just one tile in hallways.
There is a randomweather effect on floors 15, 21, 24, 28, 32, 38, 43, 48, 52, 57, 61, 67, 81 and 89.
Unlike most dungeons, the player has 30 chances to attempt to rescue another player usingSOS Mail , rather than the customary 10.
Generation VIII In the remake, any Pokémon battled here can be recruited. Ditto spawns as fake items.
After recruiting Celebi, theShiny Celebi Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness andPokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky can be rarely found in Mystery Houses as a cameo.
There is a randomweather effect on floors 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, 23, 43, 47, 51, 55, 59, 74, 78, 82, and 86.
