Release information
This card was included in theXY expansion, first released in the JapaneseCollection X. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Mirror HolofoilXY-P Promotional card, made available as part of a twelve card promotional pack awarded to those who participated in the Pokémon Card Gym tournaments from the month of February 2014 through the month of April 2014. This print features the Card Gym logo.
The XY print were subsequently reprinted in the JapaneseM Charizard-EX Mega Battle Deck,Hyper Metal Chain Deck (later released as part of the EnglishPhantom Forces expansion),Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX,M Rayquaza-EX Mega Battle Deck,M Master Deck Build Box Power Style,M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style, andGolduck BREAK + Palkia-EX Combo Deck. It was reprinted again in the EnglishBREAKpoint expansion, in the JapaneseBREAK Starter Pack, and in the simultaneously released JapaneseZygarde-EX Perfect Battle Deck andM Audino-EX Mega Battle Decks. Another Mirror Holofoil print was included in the JapanesePremium Champion Pack. An unnumbered XY-P Promotional print was 1 of 9 cards available in special packs sent to Japanese Event Organizers in July 2016 for distribution in official events hosted by them. This print features the Event Organizer logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration.
AFull Art print was included in theSteam Siege expansion, first released as one of the JapaneseXY-P Promotional cards, which was given to customers who purchased 2 boxes in any combination ofFever-Burst Fighter orCruel Traitor at participating Pokémon Card Gym venues and Pokémon Centers upon their release. This print features the expansion logos on the bottom of the card. The XY print was reprinted in Japan at the start of the Sun & Moon Era in thePremium Trainer Box. Despite the new Era having introduced a new card layout for Trainers, this print retains its original layout. In Japan,The Best of XY subset also included a reprint of the XY print utilizing the old card layout.
The BREAKpoint print later received a Holofoil variant in the form of aYellow A Alternate card, with new artwork byNaoki Saito. This print was included in theBattle Arena Decks: Black Kyurem vs White Kyurem released June 16, 2017. In Japan, the original print was reprinted in theUltra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box, once again keeping the old layout. The Yellow A Alternate art print was reprinted in the JapaneseUltra Sun & Ultra Moon Deck Build Boxes.

- This card's effect matches that ofProfessor Oak; however, as Professor Oak is not a Supporter card, it can be played more than once per turn.
- This card's effect is identical toProfessor Juniper. Because of this, it was ruled that while both cards are in the sameformat, only Professor Juniperor Professor Sycamore can be included in the same deck, not both. This ruling later includedProfessor's Research.
