Effect

In battle

Generation III

When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move that makescontact, there is a 1/3 chance that the attacking Pokémon will becomepoisoned. This Ability cannot poisonPoison-type orSteel-type Pokémon.

If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by amultistrike move that makes contact (such asFury Swipes), each hit has an independent chance to activate this Ability.

Generation IV onward

The chance for Poison Point to poison is lowered to 30%.

Outside of battle

Poison Point has no effect outside of battle.
