List of Pokémon by Paldea Pokédex number
| Shortcut Pdex |
This is a list of Pokémon in the order dictated by thePaldearegional Pokédex, meaning that thefirst partner Pokémon from Paldea will appear first, followed by Pokémon native to the Paldea region. There are 400 numbered Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex. For the first time, no Pokédex numbers shown in the game haveleading zeros, though the Scarlet and Violet Pokédexes inPokémon HOME still use leading zeros for Pokédex numbers for consistency.
Many additional Pokémon were added toPokémon Scarlet and Violet through updates and made accessible through Pokémon HOME andThe Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Many of the newly-added Pokémon appear in theKitakami Pokédex andBlueberry Pokédex.

Compatible Pokémon formerly not in any Scarlet and Violet Pokédex
These Pokémon were compatible withPokémon Scarlet and Violet in an earlier version than the one which added them to one of the Scarlet and Violet Pokédexes.
Trivia
- Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the first game in whichregional forms (and original forms of regional form Pokémon) can be obtained but are not registered in the Pokédex.
- Some images in the Paldea Pokédex reference Pokémon biology or other Pokémon media:
- Some Pokémon are depicted as predators to others:Starly toScatterbug,Rufflet toSpewpa,Persian toStarly,Appletun andSalandit toCombee,Barraskewda toWingull,Lurantis toKricketot, andMareanie toPincurchin.
- The rivalries ofZangoose andSeviper,Toxapex andBruxish, andSlowking andOranguru are shown.
- Stunky's image presents it being ready to emit repulsive gases.
- Drifloon andFroslass's images show them potentially kidnapping a child and a man, respectively.
- Meowth's image shows it beside aPikachu, which might referencePokémon the Series and the rivalry betweenAsh's Pikachu andTeam Rocket'sMeowth.
- Dragonite in front of a lighthouse may be a reference to its debut episode in the animated series,Mystery at the Lighthouse.
- There is a visual glitch onFlamigo's Pokédex image, showing two Flamigo with their wings both spread out and tucked in.
- This is the first regional Pokédex to exclude theZubat family, and the first to excludeLickilicky andMantyke after their debuts.
- Like the othermascots in Scarlet and Violet,Koraidon andMiraidon's image have a unique gold border.
- The Paldea Pokédex available in the mobile version ofPokémon HOME (added in v3.0.0) uses the same images as those seen in the Pokédex in Scarlet and Violet, albeit with the borders removed.
- AlthoughWailmer is not present in Scarlet and Violet, it is referenced in the Pokédex entry forCetoddle.
- AllGeneration VIII species and alternate forms that were introduced mid-generation (in updates toPokémon Sword and Shield and inPokémon Legends: Arceus) are compatible with Scarlet and Violet.
- All Pokémon with aHisuian form are available in-game as their non-Hisuian counterpart, but the Hisuian forms that do not evolve exclusively from regional forms can be obtained, even with the Scarlet and Violet origin mark and possibly, the player's ownTrainer ID, by simply transferring the pre-evolved Pokémon intoPokémon Legends: Arceus viaPokémon HOME, evolving them there, and returning back using the said tool.
- The Paldean Pokédex is somewhat unreliable with showing where some Pokémon can be found, and doesn't show all the locations of all Pokémon. Some examples include: a sizable number of non-Paradox Pokémon (such asChansey) can be found inArea Zero despite not stating so on the map,Cacturne can be found in theAsado Desert despite the map stating its location as "area unknown",Gastrodon can spawn on the beach ofNorth Province (Area Three) despite the map not showing the area as one of its spawn locations, and the locations ofWild Tera Pokémon (such asTsareena) are not shown on the map.
- Despite being found in theArea Zero Underdepths,Carbink does not appear in the Paldea Pokédex or theBlueberry Pokédex.
