Elekid Incorporated (Japanese:VS エレキッドVS Elekid), titledBuzzing Elekid in theChuang Yi translation, is the 94th chapter of thePokémon Adventures manga, and the fourth chapter of theGold, Silver & Crystal arc.
Plot
Silver escapes fromProfessor Elm's lab, withGold chasing closely behind. Gold usesExbo'sfire power to contain Silver within a ring of fire, demanding that he return hisbackpack and returnTotodile to Professor Elm. Before Silver can respond, however,Ken interrupts, revealing that it was him who took Gold's bag, expecting it to beJoey's, which hadProfessor Oak's important documents inside.
Ken challenges Silver and Gold to a battle in an attempt to steal Professor Elm's Totodile andCyndaquil from them. Despite a type disadvantage, Totodile is able to defeat the Ken'sElekid, since Silver taught itFrustration after stealing it from Professor Elm.
Sometime later, apoliceman confronts Gold about the charred lawn, which was damaged by Exbo's fire attacks.Joey explains to Gold that Professor Elm's hip was injured during the altercation with Silver and that he had to go to the hospital. The policeman says that the thief who stole Totodile attacked from behind and that Professor Elm, his assistant, and Joey didn't see the perpetrator clearly.
Gold is taken to the police station to compose a composite image from his memory of Silver. He accurately depicts Silver's hair color and body type, but deliberately adds incorrect facial features. He explains to Joey later that he wants to track down Silver himself, without the help of the police, so he gave them a deliberately incorrect composite to slow them down.
As they are discussing Silver,Professor Oak visits Gold and Joey's campsite. He asks Gold if the perpetrator was carrying aPokédex, which causes Gold to recall Silver hiding one from Exbo's flames. Professor Oak explains that he only made three new Pokédexes, but one had gone missing three days ago, leading him to believe that Professor Elm's Totodile and his Pokédex were both stolen by Silver.
