ThePP Max (Japanese:ポイントマックス Point Max ) is a type ofvitamin introduced inGeneration III . It raises thePP of a selectedmove to 8/5 of the move's base PP.
It is an improved version of thePP Up .
In the core series games Price Effect When used from theBag on a Pokémon, raises thePP of a selectedmove to 8/5 of the move's base PP. It also increases the Pokémon'sfriendship a little. It cannot be used onSketch ,Revival Blessing , or a move which has already had its PP fully boosted (by a PP Max or threePP Ups ). If the move already had one or two PP Ups used on it before, it does not increase the maximum PP by more than 8/5 so it will be partially wasted.
The PP Max is consumed upon use and cannot be used in battle.
