TheNormalium Z (Japanese:ノーマルＺNormal Z) is a type ofZ-Crystal introduced inPokémon Sun and Moon. It is thetype-specific Z-Crystal associated with theNormal type and allows Pokémon to upgrade their Normal-type moves toZ-Moves.

Unaffected by item negating effects (such asEmbargo andKlutz). Item manipulating effects (such asTrick andFling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.
Rayquaza cannotMega Evolve if it holds a Z-Crystal.
Outside of battle
A held Normalium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon istraded between players.

Ash obtained a Normalium Z from aTotemGumshoos after completing theVerdant Caverntrial inTo Top a Totem!. He andPikachu first used it to performBreakneck Blitz inTrial and Tribulation!. InBeauty is Only Crystal Deep!, theUltra Guardians used it, along with Ash'sGrassium Z,Rockium Z,Solganium Z, andSteelium Z, andLillie'sIcium Z, as bait for aPheromosa.
Gladion was revealed to have obtained a Normalium Z inThe Prism Between Light and Darkness!, where he andSilvally used it to perform Breakneck Blitz while attackingNecrozma.
A full set oftype-specificZ-Crystals, including the Normalium Z, appeared inA Grand Debut!, whereHapu allowed Ash to choose his grand trial prize from them.
A full set of replicas of the type-specific Z-Crystals, including Normalium Z, appeared inA Team-on-Team Tussle!, where they were shown to Ash andhis classmates byProfessor Kukui.
