Nastina (Japanese:オババObaba) is acharacter of the day who appeared inTentacool & Tentacruel.

Nastina wanted to build a hotel and theme park inPorta Vista. However, it was destroying the habitat of theTentacool that lived there. She hiredTeam Rocket to get rid of theJellyfishPokémon. However, their "Super Secret Stun Sauce" plan backfired and caused one of the Tentacool toevolve into agiantTentacruel. Soon after, all of Porta Vista, including Nastina's hotel, was flooded and quickly being destroyed by the angry Jellyfish Pokémon.

In response to the attack, Nastina put on military clothes while driving a tank and shot at Tentacruel.Misty was able to convince Tentacruel to stop attacking the city, and the Tentacruel sent Nastina flying after she tried bargaining for it to be in one of her theme park's shows. Afterwards, she crash-landed intoBrutella, who was in the midst of rebuilding her restaurant where Nastina was revealed to be Brutella’s cousin.

Nastina has a habit of posing with many hired men in speedos, who also work as her minions. She also has a habit of asking people when she offers a reward, "Isn't Nastina generous?" She is a quick-witted businesswoman who enjoys the finer things in life, but her confident persona may be criticized as loud and obnoxious. Nastina is also determined to get what she desires and has plenty of money to motivate others to assist with her plans.

• Nastina's English name is a combination ofnasty and the common ending of a female nameina.
• While her Japanese name, オババ, is her actual given name in the original Japanese episode, the characters do not use it in this context; instead they refer to Nastina by using the name as a play on the term鬼ばばhag, a somewhat rude term to refer to an old woman. This is also the case for Brutella, who shares the same Japanese name. This explains a running joke in the Japanese version as Nastina is often mistaken for Brutella. This was edited out of thedubbed version, asthe episode of Brutella's appearance was initially skipped over.
• In the original Japanese version, just like her cousin, Nastina had a speech quirk of sorts where she would add "baba" to the end of a sentence she was saying (referencing her Japanese name Obaba.) This does not occur in the dub.
• Thebattle rifle Nastina is seen shooting at one point in the episode is likely aFN FAL.
