A Pocketful of Adventures
Madoka's mother is a supporting character ofA Pocketful of Adventures. She is the mother of the series' protagonist,Madoka Akagi, and her role in the series is quite similar to that ofRed's mother in theGeneration I games.
Trivia
- Generation V is the onlygeneration that introduced two different mother characters for each set of players. However,Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are not the first games in which two mother characters are present, asRed's mother can be visited inPallet Town in theGeneration II games and inPokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
- AlthoughRed's mother has blue hair in thecore series games, his mother has brown hair inPokémon Origins.
- InPokémon Gold and Silver, there is leftover code that allows theplayer to name their mother. A control character displays the mother's name but it is never used.
- During theDude's catching tutorial, the player's name is temporarily stored in the memory address for the mother's name, so that the player's name can be temporarily overwritten with "DUDE" during the tutorial, then restored afterwards. A similar technique is used to store the player's name in Generation I during theold man's catching tutorial.[2]
- Johanna andGrace are the only mothers of player characters in the core series with official names.
