Origin

Energy Absorption is an attack that first appeared onWizards PromoMewtwo. Like with all Pokémon ☆ cards, this card is intended to represent the Shiny version of a Pokémon. However, in this particular instance, that trait does not seem to follow up entirely. While Shiny Mewtwo have a green tail, the one represented on the card has a yellow tail. This matches its Shiny coloration inGeneration II, as well asColosseum andXD: Gale of Darkness.
