Location

Location of Medali inPaldea.

Medali (Japanese:チャンプルタウンChanpuru Town) is a town in thePaldearegion, located at the base ofGlaseado Mountain'sDalizapa Passage andWest Province (Area Three), as well as being located not far from theZero Gate, the entrance to theGreat Crater of Paldea and, by extension,Area Zero.

The town is known for hosting a variety of restaurants and food vendors, the most prominent being theTreasure Eatery.

Because of theGym's specializedtype, the people of this town tend to walk around accompanied byNormal-type Pokémon.

Treasure Eatery

The Treasure Eatery is a restaurant located in Medali. The Gym battle against Larry is held here. After defeating Larry, the player can also come here to change their Pokémon'sTera Type by speaking to the cook and giving her 50Tera Shards of the desired type. Every Pokémon exceptOgerpon andTerapagos can have their Tera Type changed.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Medali briefly appeared in a flashback inFlying Pikachu, Rising Higher and Higher!, where a youngerFriede was seen meeting his former teacher,Lucca, at theTreasure Eatery.

InThe Terapagos I Don't Know, it was revealed thatDot would have to battleLarry at Medali for her secondTera Training test. Due to it being the closest of their respective destinations,Liko,Roy, and Dot decided to head there first. They arrived in the city inthe next episode, where they assistedthe owners of the strugglingAnything Goes Café restaurant and its mascot Pokémon,Kingambit.

InDance, Quaxly! The Blue Medali Step!, Dot had his test battle against Larry, during which herQuaxlyevolved intoQuaxwell. Although she still lost the match, Larry gave a positive review on her performance, allowing her to pass the test. Inthe following episode, the trio changed into winter clothes and headed off toGlaseado Mountain for Liko and Roy's respective test battles.
