Amedal (Japanese:メダルmedal) is earned for each of several achievements inPokémon GO. Each medal has four ranks: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum.

A player's progress for each medal is represented by a circular progress bar that shows how close they are to the medal's next rank. If the player already has a gold medal, their grand total will appear on a banner below the medal. Obtaining Pokémon byEvolution, hatchingEggs, ortrade also counts towards "catching" Pokémon for relevant medals.
