Maxie (Japanese:マツブサMatsubusa) is aPokémon Trainer inPokémon Masters EX, based on thecharacter of the same name in thecore seriesgames. He forms async pair withGroudon. The sync pair can be obtained through a limited Master Fairsync pair scout, and was first available on May 31, 2021. The pair's potential can be upgraded to6★ EX, which unlocks Maxie's EX style.

Maxie's design is based on his appearance inPokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Groudon is a Pokémon that Maxie seeks to control during the story ofPokémon Ruby,Emerald, and Omega Ruby.
