AMaid (Japanese:メイドMaid) is a type ofPokémon Trainer that debuted inPlatinum. They are depicted as young women in typical maid servant clothing.
They appear inPlatinum inMr. Backlot'smansion when the player decides to take the5-Maid Knockout Exact-Turn Attack Challenge. Its objective is to beat all five maids in a certain amount of turns. The prize for winning the challenge is a battle withLady Celeste orRich Boy Liam. Each of them has a different lucky color and they specialize in trainingClefairy.
InBlack and White, they use Pokémon from theField Egg Group. In theBattle Subway, they specialize in the finalEvolutions offirst partner Pokémon. InX and Y, they appear in theBattle Chateau although they appear as aBaroness,Viscountess,Countess,Marchioness orDuchess. They also appear in theBattle Maison going by their original name. They gain a male counterpart inButlers.

Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
InHungry for the Good Life!, a maid namedMonica worked atMr. Backlot's mansion. Her overall design is loosely based on the Maids found in thegames. It should be noted that at the time the episode aired, the Maid Trainer class did not exist yet, and Monica was merely based on the overworld sprites of the maids inDiamond and Pearl.
Pokémon the Series: XY
A maid namedMolly appeared inBreaking Titles at the Chateau!, alongside aButler namedTurner. They acted asAsh andhis friends' guides through theBattle Chateau, and officiated the matches held in the facility. She has the same character design as the maids inX and Y.
Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon
Maids appeared under the servitude ofLillie and the supervision ofHobbes, starting inLillie's Egg-xhilarating Challenge!.

Diamond & Pearl arc
One ofMr. Backlot's Maids appeared inSuffering Psyduck. She informed Mr. Backlot of the arrival ofhis guest, and also gavePlatinum aSoothe Bell as thanks for visiting thePokémon Mansion.
Black & White arc
A Maid appeared inDream a Little Dream as one of the 32 participants of thePokémon League tournament, going throughVictory Road. She was eventually defeated off-panel, eliminating her from the tournament.
X & Y arc
A Maid appeared with aButler inDancing Vivillon, thankingCassius for fixing theBattle Chateau'sPC Box.

- When defeated, the Maids in the 5-Maid Knockout Exact-Turn Attack Challenge all say the same—"You're so strong!"—adding only an additional exclamation mark for each maid defeated.
- One of those Maids is Elena (Japanese: ヘレンHelen), who reappears inKalos hotels inPokémon X and Y, offering totrade the player anEevee for any Pokémon. The names are the same in Japanese, English, and Korean, but different in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
- When a Maid is battled at theBattle Frontier, she will be shown as aWaitress inDiamond and Pearl, as the Maid class did not exist in those versions.
- Maids appeared in theBattle Pike in Pokémon Emerald, although they cannot be battled.
- In theBattle Chateau, Maid Julia is shown to be a robot, making her the first robotic Trainer in thecore series games.
