Light Metal (Japanese:ライトメタルLight Metal) is anAbility introduced inGeneration V.
Effect
In battle
Halves theweight of the Pokémon with this Ability, rounded down to the nearest tenth (e.g.,Metang, normally weighing 202.5 kg, will weigh 101.2 kg if it has Light Metal).
Autotomize is applied before other weight-modifying effects, including Light Metal. A Pokémon's weight cannot be reduced below 0.1 kg.
This has no effect on theHeavy Ball, which uses the Pokémon's species' weight rather than its current weight.
Outside of battle
Light Metal has no effect outside of battle.
