TheLegendary Clash GX Starter Deck is a standard deck with random elements released alongside theLegendary Clash expansion of the AsianPokémon Trading Card Game, available outside Japan and South Korea.
The deck was released inTaiwan andHong Kong on April 10, 2020 and inThailand on May 24, 2020. It is constructed in the same manner as previous random GX Starter Decks and consists of 3 main groups: the first and second group typically focus on one or two Pokémontypes and include quantities of supporting basicEnergy cards and sometimesTrainer cards. There are 18 possible varieties of the first group, each of which contains 18 cards including onePokémon-GX; the second group has 7 possible varieties comprising 16 cards each. The cards within each variety are always the same, though any combination of the two groups can form the deck. The third group contains a random selection of 26 cards sourced from a pool of Trainer and Special Energy cards. This selection includes multiples of some cards.
Many of the cards included in the deck can be found in the Legendary Clash expansion but differ by featuring their own collection number and symbol. All cards are also Non Holofoil and have no rarity symbols. Each GX Starter Deck comes with a rulesheet and a cardboard sheet containing damage counters, status markers, and a GX marker.
