If the Pokémon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon, that player takes 1 fewer Prize card. This effect of your Legacy Energy can't be applied more than once per game.

Release information

This card was included in theTwilight Masquerade expansion, first released in the JapaneseTransformation Mask expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted in theTerastal Fest ex subset, theBattle Partners Deck Build Box, and theStart Deck 100 Battle Collection.

Rulings

  • Legacy Energy's effect of reducing Prize cards taken by the opponent stacks with other effects that also reduce Prize cards taken (eg.Mega Gengar ex's "Shadowy Concealment" Ability,Lillie's Pearl, etc.).[1]
    • Consider the situation where this stacking of Prize card-reducing effects is greater than the number of Prize cards a Pokémon normally gives up when it is Knocked Out; for example, a Pokémon that normally only gives up 1 Prize card has both Legacy Energy and "Vessel of Life"Shedinja attached to it, and both cards reduce the Prize cards that Pokémon gives up by 2. In this situation, if that Pokémon is Knocked Out by attack damage from the opponent, Legacy Energy's effect still activates, and the effect may not be applied again during the game.[1][2]
