Lana's father

Lana's father (Japanese:スイレンのパパSuiren's father) is a minor recurring character inPokémon the Series: Sun & Moon.

In animation

He is the father ofLana,Harper and Sarah. He was first mentioned by Lana inBalloons, Brionne, and Belligerence!, as she recalled him instructing her to stay away fromwildDhelmise if she ever came across one. He made his physical debut in a flashback inFilling the Light with Darkness!, where he was lying unconscious in his house, due to the effects of aNecrozma, as Harper and Sarah played with him. However, he was not fully seen physically, due to Harper and Sarah covering most of his body, including his head, with a blanket.

Lana's father was fully seen inWe Know Where You're Going, Eevee!, where he first encountered awildEevee as it was riding on aMantine. Later, he returned home from his recentfishing expedition and greeted his family, only to learn Lana recentlycaught the sameEevee.

InDreams of the Sun and Moon!, Lana revealed that she would be joining her father on his next sea expedition to search for theMythical PokémonManaphy. He and Lana left inThank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!.

InPokémon Sun, Moon,Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, Lana's father lives in a house inKonikoni City with his wife and three daughters. He is a fisherman, and his wife states he is good at fishing treasures, such asPearls andHeart Scales, but does not have any luck when it comes to fishing Pokémon. He personally believes that one can fish up rare treasure if they cast their fishing line over piles of rocks that have bubbles erupting from them.
