Appearance

Ivor is a large, tall man with a light complexion and a very well-defined, muscular physique. He has long, straight blond hair with four long cowlicks sticking out from the top, and his bangs flare out towards the sides of his head. He has a mole near his lower left lip.

Ivor's attire consists of a tight-fitting black tank top with a vermilion thunderbolt pattern, vermilion and dark gray belts tied around his stomach and waist, and baggy white trousers. He wears vermilion sandals with black soles and a set of vermilion fingerless gloves, and holds hisKey Stone on the back of his right glove. He also wears a black full-length compression sleeve on his left arm, with the Fist of Justice logo emblazoned on the shoulder. Finally, Ivor carries around aFalinks-shaped pouch with a few discolored patches sewed onto it, alluding to his partner Pokémon.

Personality

A loud, boisterous man, Ivor leads the Fist of Justice in belief of absolute strength and prefers to solve problems with his fists. He constantly trains himself to become stronger, sometimes to the detriment of himself and others: his physical strength is such that he can't useRotom Phones because his fingers will accidentally break them, and his sisterGwynn has to deal with noise complaints from people living near hisJustice Dojo. Incidentally, Ivor boasts that his strength training lets him do many physical feats, such as throwingPoké Balls at 100 mph (165 km/h) or leaping acrossSaison Canal in a single bound.

While not lacking at all in strength, Ivor is rather air-headed, and often acts before thinking.Emma has to repeatedly stop Ivor from destroying public property in search of a missing Gwynn, and Ivor gets confused when his fist goes through an illusory wall created by Pokémon, and believes he must train further in order to smash illusory walls. Despite being viewed as somewhat immature by others, Ivor is a genuinely capable leader and teacher, and cares greatly for his sister Gwynn, even though her affection is far less mutual.

Ivor's obsession with self-improvement through strength is related to his being defeated in battle byLebanne when both were children. Before his battle in Le Super-Tournoi de Jacinthe, he begins to explain how his loss at her hands led to the training regimen he undergoes today, only to cut himself off. There is currently no other information about their connection.

Ivor strongly rejects the idea ofwild zones, claiming that they restrict Pokémon from roaming freely. He believes that the only way for Pokémon and people to coexist in harmony is to have no barriers separating them.

History

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Theplayer andUrbain/Taunie first encounter Ivor and hisFist of Justice protégés in front ofWild Zone 3. Speaking before a crowd, Ivor campaigns for the removal ofwild zones and promotes the Fist of Justice, promising heightened Pokémon battle prowess and even the ability to fight Pokémon in hand-to-hand combat to anyone who joins his group. Urbain/Taunie scoffs at the idea, which catches the attention of Ivor's studentJosée — who challenges the player to a battle — and eventually Ivor himself. Ivor commends the player for their battle against Josée and them teaching their Pokémonmoves, and promises to defeat them should they meet each other in theZ-A Royale.

Ivor serves as the player's opponent in their Z-A Royale promotion match to Rank D. However, Ivor's sisterGwynn is revealed to have gone missing since the previous day. This causes trouble not only because of the worry for a missing family member, but also because Ivor cannot authenticate the promotion match without Gwynn's help. Ivor does not own a phone because his strength keeps causing him to break all of his previous phones by accident, instead leaving his Z-A Royale management to his sister. Ivor seeks for DetectiveEmma's help in searching for Gwynn, and the player gets roped into the search as well.

The trio eventually finds Gwynn hiding in the depths of Lumiose City'ssewers. Gwynn explains that she hid from Ivor and sabotaged his promotion match because she can no longer stand his behavior, pointing out how he keeps battling people in the Z-A Royale even after sunrise, while Gwynn is the one left to deal with all the complaints. Ivor genuinely had no idea he caused so much trouble for others and apologizes to Gwynn. After the ordeal, the promotion match against Ivor begins in earnest, and Ivor states that his wish upon reaching Rank A in the Z-A Royale is to havewild zones taken down so people and Pokémon can better coexist. He givesTM011 (Bulk Up) to the player after defeating him.

Ivor also appears inHotel Richissime as one of the guests invited toJacinthe's "Le Super-Tournoi de Jacinthe" tournament, and is battled by the player in the second round.

During the game's final act, Ivor and Gwynn join the player in a Multi Battle againstRogue Mega-Evolved Pokémon, and Ivor later helps the player get through a dead end by forming a bridge. In the credits, Ivor and the other major characters are seen helping clear the rubble after the incident withPrism Tower. In the post-game, Ivor and Jacinthe approach Team MZ and ask what the player and Urbain/Taunie will use their Rank A wish for — while also realizing that they both share the same dream of the betterment of Trainers in Lumiose City.
