AnIdol (Japanese:アイドルIdol) is a type ofPokémon Trainer that debuted in theGeneration IV games. Outside theBattle Frontier, there is only one Idol, Grace, who is found in theJubilife CityTV station inDiamond, Pearl,Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl and inside variousSinnohPokémon Centers after the player obtains theVs. Seeker inPokémon Platinum. Idols are teenage girls dressed up in elaborate pink pop star outfits with a microphone.
They mostly use cute Pokémon from theFairy Egg Group, such asPikachu andClefairy, in battle.

InServing Up the Flute Cup!, an Idol namedHibana appeared in a promotional spot for theBattle Frontier Flute Cup. She later appeared inRestore and Renew!, in an advertisement for thePewter Museum of Science.

InDeprogramming Porygon-Z, an Idol was seen waiting in a line to challenge theBattle Castle. Another Idol briefly appeared inClobbering Claydol whenLooker was searching forPlatinum.

- Before the Idol Trainer class was introduced, the goal ofMarina, one of the main characters ofThe Legend of Thunder!, was to become a Pokémon Idol.
- InPokémon Platinum, Idol Grace can be found in these Pokémon Center locations around Sinnoh:
- Sunday, Saturday:Snowpoint City
- Monday, Friday:Pastoria City
- Tuesday, Thursday:Oreburgh City
- On Wednesdays, Grace cannot be found in any Pokémon Center in Sinnoh.
- In Pokémon Platinum, there is data for abattle with Idol Grace with alevel 6Clefairy, but it is completely inaccessible.[1]
- InPokémon GO, "Idol" is the name of an achievementmedal awarded for becomingBest Friends with at least one other Trainer.
