Hyper Fang (Japanese:ひっさつまえばCertain-kill Fang) is a damage-dealingNormal-typemove introduced inGeneration I. Prior toGeneration IV, it was one of thesignature moves ofRattata andRaticate.
Effect
Hyper Fang deals damage and has a 10% chance of causing the target toflinch.
Hyper Fang gains a 50% power boost when used by a Pokémon withStrong Jaw.
Generation VIII
Pokémon Sword and Shield
Hyper Fang is programmed intoPokémon Sword and Shield, but cannot be selected in a battle as no available Pokémon can learn it. However, it can be called byMetronome. It has no animation, so the game will crash ifbattle effects are enabled.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Hyper Fang cannot be selected in a battle.
Generation IX
