Gust (Japanese:かぜおこしStir Up Wind) is a damage-dealingFlying-typemove introduced inGeneration I. Prior toGeneration II, it was aNormal-type move.

Effect

Generation I

Gust deals damage and has no secondary effect.

It is aNormal-type move in this generation.

Generation II

Gust is now aFlying-type move.

Gust can hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turns ofFly andBounce, and if it does, will deal double thedamage.

Generation III onwards

Gust is now affected byKing's Rock, except in Generation IV.

Starting in Generation IV, when used on a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of Fly or Bounce, the power is now doubled instead of the damage being doubled (resulting in virtually the same effect). Starting in Generation V, this also applies toSky Drop.

Gust can hit non-adjacent opponents inTriple Battles.

Gust is awind move.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Gust's PP was reduced from 35 to 25.
