Trivia
- Grimsley & Liepard's debut banner was originally scheduled to last until December 19, 2019. However, a glitch occurred that caused parts of the scout display to appear corrupted, which could cause issues for players. As a result, his banner was closed a week earlier than scheduled, and the scout was re-opened on December 26, 2019.[3]
- This makes Grimsley & Liepard the sync pair with the shortest gap between their initial run and first rerun, at 28 days.
- Scout points from the initial banner were carried over to the new banner. This was the only instance of scout points carrying over between banners prior to the introduction of mix scouts.
- Despite Sygna Suit Grimsley's description calling his sygna suit "crisp blue", it is primarily beige and black, with only the scarf being blue.
- The descriptor "crisp blue" is more accurate to his EX style, which has blue pants, but it was released four months later.
- The introduction to Grimsley's battle theme features a stock sound effect corresponding tocoin flipping, referencing his post-battle dialogue inGeneration V and his dialogue onAlola Route 15.
- Grimsley is one of three characters who forms more than one sync pair that is available in the permanentsync pair scout pool, the other two beingElesa andKukui.
- He is the only character to form three sync pairs that are available in the general sync pair scout.
- When Grimsley & Liepard's sync grid was expanded on June 25, 2023, one of the tiles added was a red sync grid tile forFerocious Moves 2 (Japanese:技後攻撃特攻アップ2). In version 2.38.0, released on October 27, 2023, this tile was changed to activate the skillMove: Attack ↑2 & Sp. Atk ↑2 9 (Japanese:技後攻撃特攻2アップ9).
- When Grimsley was first added to theTrainer Lodge, there were multiple bugs that were acknowledged by the developers. The topic "Gems" was listed under the category "Friends", and his Story Snapshot was obtained at friendship level 20 and his Friend Snapshot was obtained at friendship level 40, when they are supposed to be obtained the other way around.[4]
