On both cart tracks, aCarkol will run down the tracks from theRoute 3 end towards theRoute 4 end. If the player approaches from either Route 3 entrance, the Carkol will spawn when the player nears the tracks; from the Route 4 entrance, they will spawn after the player has walked up the tracks somewhat. They can spawn again once the player leaves the area.
AWoobat flies around the bridge that lies between the cart tracks. While several Woobat can be seen flying underneath the bridge, only one of the Woobat flies above the bridge, which is the only one that can be encountered. It respawns when the player leaves the area.

The Galar Mine was first mentioned inKabu's Battle Training!, where theRising Volt Tacklers learned thatKabu had seen theBlack Rayquaza heading towards it.Liko,Roy, andFriede arrived there inCharge! Galar Mine! and started their search, only to be ambushed byAmethio and his cronies. However, before the confrontation with them could finish, they were attacked by aGalarianMoltres belonging to the ancient adventurerLucius. Moltres quickly proved too strong for them to fight against, forcing everyone to escape. In thenext episode, Liko, Roy, and Friede returned to the mine and managed to calm Moltres down. Afterwards, Moltres returned to itsAncient Poké Ball and allowed Liko to take it with her.
The entrance to the Galar Mine appeared inWatch Out!! Strong Rivals, whereHenry,Casey,Marvin, andSonia encounteredHop,Bede, andMarnie there on their way toTurffield, their path blocked by a huge boulder. With the teamwork between their Pokémon, they were able to move the boulder aside and move on, although Bede stayed behind for a moment. Henry, coming from a family of swordsmiths and thus being well versed in the minerals that come from the mine, was aware that rocks found in the Galar Mine, including the boulder that they had just moved, had a good chance of containingWishing Stars. Bede refused to tell Henry what he was after, and once Henry had been dragged away by Casey, Bede had hisHatenna shatter the boulder, discovering three Wishing Stars from the resulting rubble.
